Nature Restoration Fund now open in Perth and Kinross
Perth and Kinross Council now opened a funding call totalling £187,000 to support projects that address the drivers of biodiversity loss, habitat loss, habitat fragmentation, invasive non-nature species and help reverse biodiversity loss and restore Scotland’s nature. The Nature Restoration Fund is open to both council led and community led projects that meet the purpose and themes of the fund, with a minimum funding threshold of £1,000 (split 50/50 between capital and revenue):
- Capital: on the ground works such as habitat creation, wetland restoration, tree planting.
- Revenue: costs like community engagement, surveying, and monitoring.
Projects will be assessed on their value for money and must be fully costed. Projects can be on any land or water that is open to the public or is designated for its biodiversity, such as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).
Who can apply?
- Constituted organisations (e.g. charities andcommunity groups)
- Private individuals and companies (where public benefit is demonstrated)
- Partnerships and collaborative projects

Applications close at 5pm on Monday 2nd June 2025 and all projects must be delivered by 31st March 2026. Applications are now open. Applicants should download an application form (Word doc, 1 MB), completing all sections and send, along with any required evidence, to [email protected].
