Horizon Europe 2026-2027 Work Programmes Published

The European Commission has just published the 2026-2027 work programmes for Horizon Europe.  These outline all the topics that will be funded for the last two years of the fund and, for each topic, what the call timetable and budget will be.  This development represents one of the best opportunities to engage with the fund since the UK associated to it.  You can link to the work programmes here: Horizon Europe work programmes – Research and innovation

The newly published documents cover the following parts of Horizon Europe:

  • Pillar 1: MSCA (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions)
  • Pillar 2: all six thematic clusters plus the Missions and New European Bauhaus
  • Pillar 3 and cross-cutting priorities: European Innovation Ecosystems, WIDERA and other horizontal activities.

To look at the work programmes themselves for your areas of interest and here is the link to the schedule of info days the Commission will be organising in the New Year.  These will be mostly online, with dates ranging from mid-January to late March.  Registration is required.  There is also, in most cases, a separate session for brokering bid consortia, sometimes on a different date and with separate registration.
