Agri and all: New biodiversity policies for the EU’s sustainable growth
Environmental stakeholders are pushing for ambitious nature and biodiversity policies in the European Union, similar to the robust climate targets set by the EU Green Deal. The European Commission’s proposed Nature Restoration Law is under scrutiny to ensure it establishes strong biodiversity targets. Recent debates in the European Parliament have highlighted the importance of keeping farmers engaged in discussions regarding climate targets, emphasising the crucial role of agriculture in both emissions’ reduction and adaptation to climate change, including biodiversity conservation.
