Clean Energy: Logan Energy secures £5 million in funding

Logan Energy has secured £5m of investment to develop its systems-led approach in the hydrogen power sector.

Based in Edinburgh, with manufacturing facilities in Wallyford and development facilities at Heriot-Watt University, the company has received more than 50% of the overall figure from green energy investor Lanxing New Energy, based in Singapore.

The balance of the investment was made by Scottish Enterprise.

In Scotland, the company is installing a hydrogen electrolyser at Arbikie Distillery near Montrose, which will should the distillery to power its operations partly from environmentally-sustainable green hydrogen – that is hydrogen created using renewable electricity from wind turbines and local water sources.
