Perth West development gets go-ahead

The John Dewar Lamberkin Trust predicts that more than 1,000 new jobs will be created in the area

The site includes 25 hectares of land for commercial development, where direct access to the A9 and electricity infrastructure should create rvegional opportunities.

There are also plans for 1,500 energy-efficient homes – including 375 affordable homes – set out in a 15-minute neighbourhood design, with electric vehicle and electric bike charging infrastructure, car sharing options, public transport and cycle paths.

Construction of the development will provide 1,285 temporary jobs, generating a one-off boost of £118.7m to the local economy. The longer term impact of the development is forecast to bring 1,090 permanent jobs to Perth & Kinross.
