Centre for Agricultural Sustainable Innovation (CASI)
Agriculture is a key industry in Angus. The Centre for Agricultural Sustainable Innovation (CASI) aims to facilitate collaboration between businesses in the agriculture industry and promote farm-based sustainable innovations.
Based on a ‘hub and spoke’ model, there will be a central hub that coordinates the activity of various spokes. The spokes’ activities are focused on the following themes:
- Circular economy
- Data and technology
- Quality and provenance
- Agri and food tourism
- Skills
- Innovation
- Collaboration
To date, four spokes have been identified:
- Neutral spirit still
- Precision farming facilities
- Innovation farm
- Crop quality centre
